What are integrated services?

Integrated services refer to a coordinated approach where multiple services—such as healthcare, social support, education, or technology—are combined to provide comprehensive solutions tailored to clients' needs. Professionals working in integrated services often collaborate across different sectors and disciplines to ensure seamless support for individuals or organizations. This approach helps improve outcomes by addressing various aspects of a person’s or group’s situation, reducing service gaps, and increasing efficiency.

How does an Integrated Services professional typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Integrated Services professionals often work cross-functionally, serving as a bridge between departments such as IT, operations, and customer service. This collaboration ensures seamless delivery of complex solutions that meet both technical and business objectives. Regular communication, project meetings, and shared platforms are common tools used to align goals, troubleshoot issues, and track progress. By fostering strong interdepartmental relationships, Integrated Services teams help drive efficiency and improve overall organizational performance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Integrated Services, and why are they important?

To thrive in Integrated Services, you need a solid background in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization, often supported by a degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with workflow management tools, ERP systems, and sometimes certifications like PMP or Six Sigma are commonly required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for effectively coordinating among diverse teams and clients. These skills are essential to ensure seamless service delivery, drive operational efficiency, and meet organizational objectives.

Senior Integration Developer – responsible for designing and delivering complex, enterprise‑grade integration solutions using Azure Integration Services, with focus on CI/CD, APIM governance, and AI‑enabled development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex, large‑scale integration solutions using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Grid). Build high‑performance, scalable, and production‑ready solutions.
  • Develop reusable frameworks, advanced integration patterns, and shared components to accelerate delivery across programs.
  • Design and implement enterprise‑grade APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), configuring advanced policies including security, transformation, throttling, and routing.
  • Own and drive Low‑Level Design (LLDs) for modules and critical components, translating requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, driving end‑to‑end automation and ensuring consistent, high‑quality releases.
  • Lead unit, integration, and validation testing; provide strong production support and root‑cause analysis.
  • Implement observability frameworks using Azure Monitor and Application Insights to meet SLAs for reliability and performance.
  • Leverage GitHub Copilot / M365 Copilot for code acceleration, LLD and API documentation generation, debugging and diagnostics.
  • Provide technical leadership: conduct code reviews, design reviews, mentoring of junior engineers, and advise best practices.
  • Collaborate with Leads, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to align design, development, and delivery timelines.
Required Skills
  • 6–9 years of hands‑on integration development in complex delivery environments.
  • Deep expertise in Azure Integration Services (AIS).
  • Advanced experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Strong coding expertise in C', .NET, REST APIs, JSON, XML.
  • Experience owning LLDs and contributing to HLDs.
  • Strong knowledge of event‑driven, distributed, and microservices‑based architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.
  • Active use of GitHub Copilot / M365 Copilot for AI‑enabled development.
  • Preferred: experience with MuleSoft, AI/ML integration use cases, enterprise security, API governance, and compliance frameworks.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary range: $89,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Competitive salary and bonus plan.
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision care.
