This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing daily operations during your shift, coaching team members, maintaining labor efficiency, and ensuring team members stay productive and engaged throughout the day. Position Details

• Position: Shift Leader
• Location: Tommy's Express Car Wash
• Address: 1540 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing all team members during their assigned shift, ensuring operational standards are met, labor is managed effectively, and every customer receives an exceptional experience. This position serves as the primary leader on duty and works closely with management to drive sales, develop team members, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, motivate, and coach team members throughout each shift.
• Ensure team members remain productive during slow periods by assigning cleaning, stocking, maintenance, and organizational tasks.
• Hold team members accountable for performance expectations and company standards.
• Reinforce customer service expectations, including smiling, greeting customers, waving, and engaging guests in a positive manner.
• Provide ongoing training and feedback to team members.
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
• Promote a positive, energetic, and team-oriented culture.

Customer Experience

• Ensure every customer receives friendly and professional service.
• Assist customers with floor mats, vacuums, memberships, and any other needs.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Actively engage with customers throughout the property.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality.

Operations & Labor Management

• Manage labor throughout the shift to meet company goals.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust responsibilities based on customer volume.
• Ensure all operational procedures are followed correctly.
• Maintain quality standards for services.
• Conduct opening, shift, and closing procedures.
• Ensure proper use and care of company equipment.

Sales & Membership Growth

• Coach team members on membership sales and customer engagement.
• Promote Tommy's Express memberships and interior cleaning services.
• Help achieve location sales goals through active customer interaction.
• Become an expert on the Tommy's Express App and assist customers with enrollment.

Facility Cleanliness & Maintenance

• Ensure the tunnel, vacuum area, lobby, restrooms, and customer areas remain clean and presentable.
• Assign and verify completion of cleaning tasks throughout the day.
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them to management.
• Assist with minor troubleshooting and operational issues when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example.
• Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and physical activity.
• Comfortable working in a loud environment around car wash equipment.

Schedule

• Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Full-time position with flexible scheduling based on business needs.
