The Farmers Protégé Agency Producer Program offers a direct pathway to becoming a Farmers Insurance Agency Owner. This structured, 12-month development program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and industry-leading training through the University of Farmers.

This opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals with strong communication skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a desire to build a long-term career in insurance and financial services.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary (DOE) plus commission and performance bonuses

Job Overview:
As a Protégé Agency Producer, you will work alongside a successful Farmers Agency Owner to learn how to:

  • Sell and grow a profitable book of business
  • Provide exceptional client service
  • Manage daily agency operations
  • Run a future Farmers Insurance agency

This role builds the foundation for your transition into agency ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Support agency operations including customer service, renewals, and policy reviews
  • Prospect, network, and generate new business leads
  • Manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Use Farmers' systems, sales processes, and compliance standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development
  • Obtain and maintain required insurance licenses (P&C before start; L&H before completion)
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and strong customer service

Qualifications:

  • Property & Casualty license (required before start date)
  • Life & Health license (required before program completion)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Goal-oriented with entrepreneurial drive
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

Program Path and Bonus:
Graduates of the Protégé Program who sign an Agent Appointment Agreement will receive:

  • A $4,000 bonus
  • The opportunity to open a Farmers agency with waived capital requirements
