  • Hybrid schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri in-office; Tue, Thu remote
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Base salary $50K-$55K + commission, commensurate with experience; total compensation may significantly exceed base salary

Montagno Insurance Agency is seeking a Licensed P&C Insurance Producer with experience in Personal and/or Commercial Lines. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for an established book of business while actively pursuing new client relationships to drive organic growth. Ifyou are a skilled communicator who enjoys both client service and proactive sales - we want to hear from you!

Licensed P&C Insurance Producer Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Property & Casualty License
  • 2+ years of insurance experience

Preferred - but not required. We still encourage you to apply!

  • Commercial Lines experience
  • Familiarity with Hawksoft or similar agency management systems
  • Established carrier or client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of Personal and Commercial Lines products, markets, coverages, rating procedures, and underwriting guidelines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex coverage in plain language
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business, retain existing accounts, and close sales
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment

Licensed P&C Insurance Producer Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary service contact for an existing book of Personal and Commercial Lines clients.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and timely.
  • Respond promptly to client requests via phone, email, and mail; maintain accurate electronic files per agency standards.
  • Conduct annual coverage reviews; round out accounts where gaps exist and collaborate with CSAs to upgrade coverage as appropriate.
  • Verify accuracy of policy documents, direct-bill cancellation notices, and audit amounts; take appropriate corrective action.
  • Assist clients with first reports of claims; coordinate with carriers and follow up through resolution.
  • Prepare and deliver binders, summaries of insurance, schedules, and renewal proposals; educate clients on payment and cancellation procedures.
  • Prospect, quote, and sell new Personal and Commercial Lines accounts; pre-qualify prospects, design coverage solutions, and deliver compelling proposals.
  • Complete and submit applications and related documentation to appropriate markets.
  • Maintain a client/prospect list and actively seek referrals at every interaction.
  • Retain assigned accounts at renewal; remarket proactively as needed to ensure profitability for the agency and carrier partners.
  • Recommend loss control programs to clients where appropriate.
  • Participate in sales meetings, agency planning sessions, and carrier training.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, coverages, and technology; maintain a continuous improvement plan for technical and sales skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
