Requirements
  • Must have "lived experience" recovering from a drug or alcohol addiction
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have Certified Recovery Specialist Certificate or be willing to earn certificate within 1 year of hire
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance
  • Working knowledge of 12 step recovery principles
  • Pennsylvania State Child Abuse Clearance
  • Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
  • FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services

Are you in long-term recovery and want to help others on their journey? Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) is hiring a Full-Time Drug & Alcohol Recovery Specialist to provide guidance and support to individuals in treatment.
Your Role:
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, therapists, and support services.
  • Help clients navigate the treatment and recovery process.
  • Use your lived experience to motivate and encourage individuals throughout their journey.

What We Require:
  • Minimum of 2 years of personal recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills.
