Job description

Student - Interventional VASC/CARD

Description:

Performance of Special Procedures Technician general duties under the supervision of a qualified tech

 Ability to produce diagnostic examinations with all contrast under the supervision of a qualified tech

Responsible for performance of specialized procedures under the supervision of a qualified tech

Operation and use of pre and post examination equipment under the supervision of a qualified tech

Performance in general duties under the supervision of a qualified tech

Maintains good relationship with others

Makes a conscientious effort to help maintain a clean, safe environment

Maintains currency of basic knowledge

Demonstrates effective implementation of technical skills

Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements

Education/Experience:

Active attendance of a Education Accredited Radiographic program and an overall grade of a "C" or better

Documentation of the student's orientation to basic radiology shall be provided by the student from the Clinical Coordinator upon request of the hospital

Documentation of the student's competency to provide basic radiographic tech skills as described below shall be provided by the student from the Clinical Coordinator upon request of the hospital

Assumes responsibility for organization of assigned duties indicated by competency checklist
