Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The Business Risk Professional is responsible for supporting mortgage risk and compliance activities through the detailed review of post-closing retail mortgage loans to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. This role performs comprehensive file reviews, validates Closing Disclosure (CD) information, confirms fee accuracy, and identifies potential compliance concerns within established review timelines. Working in a queue-based production environment, the Business Risk Professional manages a high volume of loan reviews while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness. The position collaborates with team members and leadership to support risk management objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to learn and apply complex review processes. Success in this role requires adaptability, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment, sound organizational skills, and a commitment to meeting productivity and quality goals. Previous experience in mortgage operations, compliance, quality control, risk management, financial services, or other production-based environments is helpful.

May inform policies and procedures in an effort to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure. May serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Less than one year of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Basic understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Basic understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
- Proficient computer navigation skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $22.50 - $30.00
