Job description


The Identity and Access Management Intern will support the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team by assisting with data analysis, documentation, process reviews, and governance activities. This role provides hands-on experience with IAM functions including access certifications, identity lifecycle management, privileged access management, compliance reviews, and operational reporting. The intern will work alongside experienced IAM professionals to gain practical knowledge of security controls, risk management, and IAM best practices.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop foundational knowledge in Identity & Access Management while contributing to a security-focused team supporting enterprise access governance and compliance activities.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
Responsibilities
IAM Operations & Governance Support
  • Assist in reviewing and validating access management data and reports.
  • Support ongoing user access reviews and access certification activities.
  • Help document IAM processes, workflows, procedures, and control requirements.
  • Participate in the review of account and authorization data to help identify potential access concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining governance documentation, standards, and operational records.
  • Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing evidence and supporting materials.

Analysis & Reporting
  • Compile and analyze data related to IAM operations and controls.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Conduct research and trend analysis to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Help identify process inefficiencies and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Participate in meetings with business and technical teams to understand IAM processes and requirements.
  • Assist in gathering and documenting business needs and functional requirements.
  • Support communication efforts related to IAM initiatives and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects involving access management, identity lifecycle management, and compliance activities.

Professional Development
  • Learn IAM concepts, security governance principles, and risk management practices.
  • Gain exposure to regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in training, team knowledge-sharing sessions, and project activities.
  • Develop an understanding of financial industry security and access control practices.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of information security concepts and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Coursework or exposure to Identity & Access Management, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or Information Security.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, or business process documentation.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Interest in IT governance, compliance, audit, or security operations.
