Position Type: Board of Advisor (Advisory / Non-employee role)Commitment: 1 meeting per quarter (2 hours)Term: 1-2 years (renewable)Purpose of the Board of Advisors: To provide strategic guidance, expert insight, and community perspectives that support the organization's mission, credibility, sustainability, and impact. Advisory Board members do not hold legal governance authority, but provide recommendations and professional advice.Role OverviewThe HR Advisor supports workforce planning and organizational culture by advising on HR best practices, staffing strategies, policies, employee wellbeing, and compliance. This role contributes to building strong, sustainable people systems.Key Responsibilities Provide guidance on recruitment, retention, and workforce strategy.

Review HR policies, staff structures, and performance processes. Advise on healthy workplace culture, staff engagement, and organizational values. Support risk mitigation related to people operations.

Participate in quarterly meetings and provide strategic HR insights. Preferred Qualifications HR experience (HR Manager/Director level or equivalent). Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices.

Strong ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism. CPHR designation is required Standard Expectations ConfidentialityMembers must maintain confidentiality for all sensitive information discussed.Conflict of InterestMembers must disclose any conflicts and avoid participating in decisions where conflicts exist.Professional ConductAdvisors are expected to communicate respectfully and contribute constructively.
