Job description

Role: QA Tester
Location: Concord, NH
Duration: 6+ months
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of overall experience in QA software testing supporting a large enterprise wide application
• Ability to multi-task and manage evolving priorities, including supporting multiple concurrent projects and related deliverables
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and exhibit confidence when working with, reporting to, and providing or receiving guidance from team members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on presenting information with clarity and conciseness
• Effective in a diverse team setting, with the ability to (1) participate with a team to achieve a common goal, and (2) work as an individual contributor with little oversight to achieve a pre-defined goal
• Inquisitive and driven to understand the intersection of business processes and information technology systems
• Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
• Ability to read and comprehend narrative and technical documentation to gain understanding of system functionality
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude with the willingness and self-motivation to 'go the extra mile' to help the larger team achieve success
• Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing life cycle, testing procedures and methodologies

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Rational Functional Tester, or HP QuickTest Professional
• Experience or educational background in Health and Human Services, Public Welfare, Public Policy, Insurance or other similar industry
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university
High-Level Responsibilities
• Research and review program policy, business requirements, system requirements, etc. to gain an understanding of project objectives and specifications
• If observed, communicate discrepancies between policy and proposed changes to project team and work toward resolution
• Develop and execute comprehensive quality assurance test plan based on specifications using scenario matrices
• Identify, analyze, and document discrepancies/deviations between expected and actual results
• Perform peer reviews of test plans
