Position Summary:
Responsible for incoming inspection, receiving activities, in-process quality monitoring, supplier quality support, and supply chain coordination activities. Ensures materials and products meet requirements while maintaining accurate system transactions and supporting continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Quality Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming inspection of purchased components and materials.
• Conduct in-process inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Verify product conformity using measuring equipment, drawings, and established procedures.
• Support nonconformance investigations and material disposition activities.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist with KPI reporting and quality metrics.
Receiving and Inventory Responsibilities:
• Receive materials into the ERP system accurately and timely.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and documentation.
• Coordinate disposition of non-conforming incoming materials.
• Support inventory accuracy initiatives and cycle count activities.
• Maintain traceability records as required.
Supply Chain Support:
• Assist Supply Chain with material shortages, supplier communication, and delivery follow-up.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding material quality concerns.
• Monitor supplier performance and support supplier corrective actions.
• Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve material issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement:
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, delivery, inventory, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in developing standard work and quality documentation.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in quality assurance, quality control, receiving, inventory, or supply chain functions preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience with ISO 13485, FDA regulated manufacturing, or medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
