Wastewater Project Manager - Lehi, Utah
Lead Meaningful Wastewater Project That Impact Communities
Wastewater engineering is more than treatment processes. It's about protecting public health, strengthening communities, and building resilient infrastructure for the future. We're looking for a Wastewater Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of wastewater projects in the Lehi, Utah region. This is a high-impact role where you'll combine technical leadership, client development, and project delivery to drive both project success and regional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive leadership and engineering solutions by developing and implementing business development strategies to drive local growth that is in partnership and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration on projects related to water/wastewater treatment
  • Manage performance of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective/new clients
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings\

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience in wastewater or water treatment design and project delivery
  • Proven ability to manage projects, clients and teams simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to clients
  • Experience or interest in business development and client growth
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 15+ years water or wastewater consulting experience in Utah
  • Prior project management experience
  • Proven client relationships and an interest in business development
  • Knowledge of Utah design standards and permitting
  • Knowledge of Utah funding programs
Physical Qualifications
  • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
