We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a licensed insurance professional who thrives in a client-focused environment, enjoys managing complex commercial accounts, and values working for a stable, locally owned independent agency.
Position Overview:
The Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing a book of commercial business while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strong carrier relationships. This position plays a key role in account retention, renewal management, coverage analysis, and supporting the agency's continued growth.
The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial insurance experience and be comfortable managing accounts in industries such as trucking, forestry, construction, manufacturing, and other commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Renewals: Oversee the renewal process for assigned commercial clients, including scheduling renewals, obtaining necessary documentation, and reviewing quotes.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with the best possible solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work with producers and underwriters to compile submissions for new business, ensuring smooth communication and accurate documentation.
  • Policy Review: Evaluate and review clients' policy terms, conditions, and coverage to align with their needs and best practices.
  • Cross-Selling & Up-Selling: Identify opportunities to offer additional coverage or insurance products based on client needs and gaps in coverage.
  • Multitasking: Handle day-to-day client inquiries and administrative tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team Support: Assist and cross-train with other departments as necessary, ensuring efficient operations across the agency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, including general liability, property, workers' compensation, auto, and professional liability.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Highly organized with and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
