What You'll Do:
As a Field Service Technician, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing your schedule and making critical decisions in the field. If you're ready to own your work and join a company that's shaking up the industry, we want to talk to you!. You will be a vital link to our customers, ensuring their equipment runs flawlessly. You will work independently from a fully equipped service truck to maximize equipment uptime and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the Expert in the Field: Travel to customer job sites to perform urgent service calls, complex diagnostics, and emergency repairs on our diverse fleet of heavy equipment.
    • Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
    • Completes complex repairs to the fleet.
    • Completes repairs on company vehicles.
  • Manage Your Mobile Workstation: Take pride in maintaining and stocking your company-provided service truck to ensure you are prepared for any challenge.
  • Drive Fleet Reliability: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) and routine inspections at customer locations to prevent issues before they start.
    • Completes preventative maintenance such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
    • Complete inspections.
  • Leverage Technology: Utilize a company-provided laptop or tablet to accurately manage work orders, look up parts, and document all repairs and services in a timely manner.
  • Act as a Trusted Partner: Professionally communicate with customers on-site, providing updates, explaining repairs, and training them on the proper use of equipment to ensure their success.
    • Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
    • Assists customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
  • Support the Shop: When not in the field, you will assist the in-house team with more complex repairs and help mentor other technicians.
    • May perform repairs on the small fleet.
    • Completes standard repairs to the fleet.
    • Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
    • Completes any type of work with supervision.
    • Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
    • Maintains a safe work environment and is committed to adhering to all company and customer-site safety policies.
    • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Company's Core Values at all times.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction and/or aerial lift equipment. Experience with major brands is a plus.
  • A Valid Driver's License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills - for both internal and external customers.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision and manage your time and priorities in a dynamic field environment.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Must be proficient with modern diagnostics tools and comfortable using mobile technology for work orders and documentation.
  • Completes rental equipment preparation by the delivery date.
  • Maintains a ready line.
  • Achieves quality standards.
  • A must-have own set of comprehensive mechanical tools is required.
