Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Lead in Meridian, MS. We are seeking a dedicated Project Lead to manage and coordinate the execution of a large-scale construction project in Meridian, MS. This role is responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time and within scope throughout an initial 12-month phase and a projected six-year total project duration. The ideal candidate is a strong leader capable of managing cross-functional teams and navigating a demanding schedule in a brand-new site environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $27 to $38 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage project teams from initiation through site completion on a multi-year project timeline.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure alignment with client objectives.
  • Monitor daily project progress and manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs while mitigating operational risks.
  • Communicate effectively with internal leadership, field teams, and external vendors to maintain site coordination.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders regarding construction milestones.
  • Manage resource allocation including staffing, materials, and budgets to meet project demands.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Adapt to accelerated schedules, including the transition from five 10-hour days to six 10-hour days as required by the customer.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to drive project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading and delivering successful projects in industrial or large-scale construction environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage long-term project horizons.
  • Ability to work a tentative schedule of five to six 10-hour days per week.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software for tracking timelines and resources.
  • Willingness to work on-site at a new development location in Meridian, MS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions at a brand-new construction site.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods during 10-hour shifts.
  • May be exposed to heights and loud noises typical of a construction environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to navigate a construction site, which may include climbing stairs and/or ladders.
