About this Role - Field Mechanic
We are looking for a talented Field Mechanic who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers and vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools
- Replace and repair damaged components
- Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment
What You'll Bring
- 2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams
- Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills
- Must possess a valid class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Basic understanding of DOT Regulations
- Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers
- Good organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical area
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment
- Customer service skills
- High School graduate
- Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one
