Summary


We are currently representing a long-standing general contractor in the Los Angeles, CA area with over 20 years of experience specializing in ground-up, tilt-up, and light industrial construction. With more than 100 completed projects in this sector and a strong backlog of awarded work, they are actively seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations. Superintendents are assigned to projects based on proximity to their residence within Southern California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure quality, schedule, and safety goals are achieved

  • Provide on-site supervision, coordination, and technical management throughout all phases of construction

  • Review and manage CPM schedules and assist with schedule updates and phasing plans

  • Supervise subcontractors, foremen, assistants, and other field personnel

  • Track and control labor costs; approve timecards and daily logs

  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee project inspections and ensure code compliance

  • Support punch list coordination and project closeout procedures

  • Manage site logistics and monitor material and equipment deliveries

  • Generate and maintain project documentation including RFI logs, daily reports, and safety records

  • Lead on-site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and internal protocols

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up, tilt-up, or light industrial construction

  • Strong understanding of project sequencing, jobsite safety, and subcontractor coordination

  • Previous experience as a journeyman or foreman carpenter is a plus

  • Skilled in construction management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office

  • OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification required

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to work in varying site conditions and perform jobsite walks as needed
