Position Overview

Top Job Services is seeking a detail-oriented Field Inspector to perform on-site property inspections for homes impacted by wind, fire, water, or other damage in the Tri-County area.


Using cutting-edge tools like 3D scanning technology and mobile applications, the Field Inspector creates a precise digital record of a propertyโ€™s condition. The data and documentation you collect provide insurance carriers and adjusters with the critical information they need to process claims quickly and accurately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive on-site inspections of residential properties following events such as wind, fire, or water damage.
  • Capture and document property conditions using photos, notes, and company-provided tools.
  • Conduct 3D scans of property interiors and exteriors using company-provided equipment (e.g., Matterport).
  • Create accurate digital sketches and floor plans, noting precise measurements.
  • Compile all collected data (photos, scans, sketches, and notes) into a comprehensive digital package for the claims team.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams during the inspection process.
  • Ensure all inspection activities follow company protocols and quality standards.


Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a role requiring on-site property assessment (e.g., home inspector and /or property restoration technician).
  • Strong background in construction, contracting, or building inspection with the ability to identify and describe structural and cosmetic impacts.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning and using new hardware and software, including 3D scanners and mobile applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Flexible with travel and scheduling, especially during peak demand periods (e.g., post-storm).
  • Ability to work independently with professionalism and integrity.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the insurance or property restoration industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for property documentation and reporting.
