Overview

Physicians Mutual is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to help shape the future of our Policyowner Services organization. This is a unique opportunity to build and enhance operational analytics, reporting and performance insights that directly influence customer experience, service quality and business outcomes.

As a strategic partner to operational leadership, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, identify performance drivers and develop reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. If you enjoy creating dashboards from scratch, uncovering root causes and telling compelling stories with data, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, performance drivers and opportunities to improve service, efficiency and customer experience.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations that support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to communicate insights, measure results and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in data analysis, performance analytics, business intelligence or operational reporting.
  • Experience analyzing operational performance metrics and translating data into business recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting customer service, contact center, insurance, financial services or other service-oriented operations.
  • SQL or data querying experience.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple business systems.
  • Professional certifications in business intelligence or analytics platforms.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
