Job Description
We are currently seeking a senior associate data analyst to help us collect, transform and extract meaning from data for the Global Technology Services (GTS) Control Tower team at State Street. The position performs a wide range of activities with experts from GTS, business intelligence, business analysis, data engineering, process engineering, governance, and data analysts to collaboratively solve a wide array of complex technical problems.
About the GTS Control Tower team
The GTS Control Tower team is an exciting and growing area of State Street with unique insight into the whole spectrum of our data, metrics, and dashboards at State Street. This name change reflects the work we are actively doing across GTS: integrating dependency management, business analysis, process design, and governance to transform data into action and keep remediation efforts flying smoothly.
The GTS Control Tower Mission
Our core focus is on transforming data into actionable insights. Our goal is to enable GTS Leadership to accelerate progress against key strategic initiatives across GTS and to drive results.
Core Responsibilities
  • Report & Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, accessible interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business insights.
  • Data Modeling & Transformation: Build and optimize semantic data models, including relationships, calculated columns, and measures using DAX. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Python and Power Query (M).
  • Data Source Integration: Connect, consolidate, and manage data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, Azure services, Excel, and other enterprise systems into reliable, well-structured datasets.
  • Performance Optimization: Tune data models and DAX calculations to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Security & Platform Administration: Implement and maintain row-level security (RLS), manage Power BI workspaces and apps, and support capacity and governance best practices within the Power BI Service.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and deliver actionable, decision-ready insights.
  • Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain clear documentation for data models, transformation logic, report definitions, and operational procedures to support transparency and long-term maintainability.

Salary Range:
$52,000 - $87,880 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
