CSR - Personal Lines
Agency Location: Aloha Insurance (Kailua-Kona, HI - 96740)
Description
The Personal Lines Specialist is responsible for assisting the Personal Lines Account Manager with placement of business through data gathering, policy quoting, and other supportive tasks. Timely response to requests for quotes and placement of business with carriers is vital to the insurance systems agency objective of providing consistently excellent customer service to prospects and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Utilize computerized rating software, including integrated rating and company websites, to provide quotes to Account Managers.
  • Utilize software and Internet sites to gather motor vehicle reports, credit scoring, CLUE reports, photos, and inspection reports to assist in the front-line underwriting of new business.
  • Learn company underwriting guidelines to accurately quote new and renewal business.
  • Input client and underwriting information into the agency management system.
  • Build and maintain rapport with producers, clients, and insurance company underwriters.
  • Assist with individual or corporate projects that may be assigned by management occasionally.
  • Assists or fills in for Account Manager as directed.
  • Performs additional assigned duties as necessary.
  • Performance is up to standard when:
  • Quotes are processed on a timely (within one working day) and accurate basis.
  • Data entry is consistently accurate, and backlog is not more than 2 working days.
  • Agency policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • A supportive and cooperative attitude is always maintained.
Requirements
  • Must be an assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others
  • Should have demonstrated effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications
  • Must have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency functions.
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
