Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Pay: $150K-$200K | Location: 3625 Parkmoor Village Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 | Schedule: Day Shift | On-Site and On Call as Needed.

Alpine Vista Behavioral Health is a behavioral health provider in Colorado Springs that offers comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment services for adults. The organization provides acute inpatient psychiatric care, detox services, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and evidence-based therapies in a supportive, healing environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and long-term wellness.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the senior executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, and clinical integrity of our psychiatric hospital. This role provides visionary leadership across inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compliant psychiatric care while positioning the organization for sustainable growth and community impact.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role ideal for a proven behavioral health executive who can balance mission-driven care with strong business acumen, regulatory expertise, and people-centered leadership.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for hospital operations, clinical services, and business performance
  • Set and execute the organizationโ€™s strategic vision, aligning clinical excellence with financial sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, state licensing agencies, and federal regulations
  • Partner closely with Medical Staff, Nursing, and Clinical Leadership to drive quality outcomes and patient safety
  • Lead financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and cost management
  • Foster a culture of safety, ethics, transparency, accountability, and compassion
  • Build and lead a high-performing executive team, developing future leaders
  • Serve as the primary representative to governing bodies, regulators, referral sources, and community partners
  • Oversee accreditation readiness, risk management, and continuous performance improvement initiatives
  • Drive service line growth, census development, and market positioning in behavioral health
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Masterโ€™s degree required (MBA, MHA, MSN, or related healthcare field)
  • 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in behavioral health, psychiatric hospitals, or complex healthcare organizations
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Psychiatric hospital operations
  • Regulatory compliance and accreditation
  • Financial and revenue cycle management
  • Physician and clinical team engagement
  • Proven track record of organizational growth, operational excellence, and culture building
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior CEO or COO experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health hospital
  • Experience leading both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services
