Position Overview: The Senior Claims Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and technical expert, managing complex and high-severity claims while supporting sophisticated client risk portfolios. This role provides advanced claims advocacy, leads claim strategy for large or litigated matters, and collaborates with clients, carriers, and internal teams to drive optimal claim outcomes and long-term risk management improvements.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Media, PA.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage catastrophic, litigated, and high-severity claims while leading strategy and negotiating settlements
  • Analyze policy language and carrier coverage positions to develop claim strategies and support advocacy efforts
  • Collaborate with attorneys, adjusters, and internal teams to resolve complex claims issues
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate risk control initiatives to mitigate future losses
  • Prepare and present claim reviews, loss trends, and performance analysis to senior client leadership
  • Lead multi-year loss analysis and benchmarking to support renewal strategy and underwriting discussions
  • Develop underwriting narratives and claims summaries to assist with renewal negotiations and pricing discussions
  • Maintain strong relationships with key client contacts, carrier representatives, legal counsel, and other service partners
  • Mentor and support Claims Consultants through technical guidance, training, and process improvement initiatives
  • Oversee assignment of accounts within the Claims Department to ensure proper workload distribution
  • Represent the organization in professional associations, industry forums, and events

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Insurance licensing or ability to obtain within 60 days
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policy language and claims processes
  • Experience managing complex or litigated claims and developing claim resolution strategies
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience working with executive-level clients
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners
  • CPCU or CIC designation (strongly preferred)
  • AIC or CRIS designation (preferred)
  • Experience working with an Agency Management System such as EPIC or AMS360 (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (preferred)
