ABOUT THE ROLE

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking an Escrow Insurance Analyst I. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office.ย  The Escrow Insurance Analyst I is instrumental in managing our customersโ€™ escrow accounts from origination through loan payoff. This role involves processing escrow disbursements and managing accounts to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Hazard Insurance Processing

  • Demonstrates the ability to complete and/or review insurance premium billings within required timelines
  • Identifies and rejects all paid off loans, non-serviced loans, and new fundings presented to us in insurance premium billings
  • Validates, pays, and updates loans for force placed insurance as premiums are billed
  • Effectively resolves situations where premiums are owed for duplicate policies, including contacting borrower when necessary and providing instruction to accounts receivable when refund checks are received
  • Submits complete and accurate journal entries within required timelines
  • Balances insurance premium billings against loan system disbursements and corrects discrepancies
  • Provides timely resolution to customer inquiries requiring specialized escrow knowledge
  • Consistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectives
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Property Tax Processing

  • Backup Property Tax processing during tax busy season

Payoff Processing

  • Consistently process loan payoffs within the required 20 days

Mortgage Insurance Processing

  • Process all upfront mortgage insurance premiums within 7 days of loan closing
  • Validate, pay, and update loans for private mortgage insurance (Genworth, MGIC, Arch, and USDA)
  • Manage the mortgage insurance cancellation process, including updating the servicing system, transmitting cancellations to the carriers, updating monthly payments when necessary, and drafting customer correspondence

Accounting Operations

  • Complete blackline journal entries timely with minimal rejections and with support that is excellent in terms of clarity/ease of review/audit readiness
  • Assist the Sr. Accountant in clearing reconciling items in the escrow disbursement clearing account (GL 2007)
  • Provides support to accounting team during compliance and financial audits
