Job description

Title: Insurance Restoration Project Manager
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Company: Triumph Group of Companies

Role Overview

The Insurance Restoration Project Manager runs restoration projects from the moment an emergency call comes in through to final walkthrough, managing mitigation, reconstruction, budgets, and everyone involved along the way. You will be the main point of contact for homeowners, commercial clients, insurance adjusters, and the subcontractors doing the work, so clear and steady communication matters as much as construction knowledge. Day to day, that means building schedules, preparing Xactimate estimates, negotiating scope with adjusters, and keeping a close eye on budgets and profitability across several jobs at once. You'll know things are going well when projects move through each phase on schedule, clients stay informed instead of anxious, and the numbers hold up at close out. The people who do well in this role are comfortable switching between a spreadsheet and a job site in the same afternoon, and they don't let a problem sit until it becomes bigger.

What We Offer
•    Salary: $75,000 to $95,000
•    Comprehensive benefits package
•    Growing division
•    Exposure to a wide range of projects
•    Supportive team
•    Clear path for advancement within Triumph Group of Companies
•    Training and support to build your skills further

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills
•    3 to 5 years of project management experience in insurance restoration, construction, or property restoration
•    Working knowledge of emergency mitigation, demolition, drying, and reconstruction processes
•    Hands on experience preparing estimates in Xactimate or equivalent estimating software
•    Ability to read drawings and scopes of work, along with knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods
•    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, plus a valid G driver's licence with a clean driving record

Attributes

•    You stay calm under pressure and keep multiple projects moving without letting details slip
•    You communicate clearly and directly with clients, adjusters, and crews, even when the news isn't good
•    You take ownership of problems on your projects and work them through rather than waiting for someone else to step in
•    You are detail oriented with documentation, knowing that a missed photo or unsigned change order can cost the project later
•    You build trust with insurance adjusters and clients by being straightforward and following through on what you say

Duties & Responsibilities
•    Manage multiple restoration projects simultaneously, from emergency mitigation through final completion
•    Develop project schedules and coordinate mitigation, demolition, drying, reconstruction, and close out across all trades
•    Prepare accurate estimates in Xactimate and negotiate scopes and supplements with insurance adjusters
•    Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and monitor profitability on every file
•    Act as the primary point of contact for clients, adjusters, brokers, and consultants throughout the restoration process
•    Coordinate internal crews and subcontractors, and schedule inspections, permits, and material deliveries
•    Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspect workmanship, and resolve issues before they affect timelines or budgets
•    Maintain complete project files, including daily progress reports, photographs, and approved change orders
•    Enforce health and safety policies on site, ensuring crews and subcontractors comply with OHSA and company procedures
•    Conduct final walkthroughs with clients and complete close out documentation for every project
