What is an insulation helper?

An insulation helper assists insulation workers by preparing materials, handling tools, and supporting installation of insulation in buildings. The role often requires physical strength, knowledge of safety procedures, and familiarity with insulation materials like fiberglass or foam. It is typically a entry-level position that may involve working in confined spaces and following instructions from experienced insulators.

What are Insulator Helpers?

Insulator Helpers assist insulation workers by supplying or holding materials, tools, and equipment, and by cleaning work areas and equipment. They help install insulating materials to prevent energy loss or protect against fire and noise in buildings, pipes, or mechanical systems. Their tasks often include measuring, cutting, and applying insulation under the guidance of more experienced insulators, as well as loading and unloading materials and preparing surfaces for insulation installation.

Where do insulators get paid the most?

Insulator helpers tend to earn higher wages in regions with a strong construction industry and high demand for skilled labor, such as areas with extensive commercial or industrial projects. Factors like experience, certifications, and working in urban or high-cost-of-living areas can also increase pay rates.
