Job description

Position Title: Quality Control System Manager
Salary Range: $145,000-$185,000 / Year, DOE
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Manager to take ownership of quality on a large-scale federal construction project at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. You'll lead the project's quality control program from the field, working directly with USACE representatives, project leadership, subcontractors, consultants and testing agencies to ensure every phase of construction meets contract requirements, specifications and quality standards. This role goes beyond checking boxes. You'll be in the field observing work, reviewing and managing submittals, overseeing subcontractor documentation, coordinating inspections and testing, and identifying issues before they become expensive problems. The company is looking for a proactive, solutions-driven professional who communicates clearly, works collaboratively and understands that great quality control requires both technical expertise and strong relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the project-wide quality control program in accordance with USACE requirements, contract documents, and established construction standards
  • Interface directly with government QA representatives and project stakeholders to maintain alignment, transparency and timely resolution of quality matters
  • Conduct daily field observations to verify work in place meets drawings, specifications, approved submittals and required quality standards
  • Review, manage and submit project submittals while maintaining accurate documentation within RMS
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, QC consultants and third-party testing agencies to schedule inspections, testing and required quality activities
  • Oversee subcontractor quality documentation and ensure deficiencies, corrective actions and follow-up items are properly documented and resolved
  • Provide direction and delegation to project engineers and collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent and field teams to keep quality at the center of project execution

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years of quality control management experience on USACE or NAVFAC projects with hands-on RMS experience
  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience supporting government contracts or government-awarded construction projects
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects valued approximately $5M-$50M, including civil, vertical construction, structural and MEP scopes
  • Strong proficiency with RMS and exceptional technical writing, documentation, and professional communication skills
  • Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification or ability to complete recertification within 90 days of hire
  • Valid state driver's license with the ability to meet company driving requirements

Benefits
  • Comprehensive health insurance with multiple plan options and highly competitive employee premiums
  • Dental, vision, FSA and HSA options plus an Employee Assistance Program for employees and their families
  • Company-paid life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability with additional voluntary insurance options available
  • Generous PTO program beginning at 15 days and increasing significantly based on years of service
  • 10 paid holidays plus a work anniversary floating holiday after one year of service
  • 401(k) match of $0.50 per dollar contributed up to 6% plus tuition reimbursement

If you have deep USACE quality control experience, know RMS inside and out, and want to join a team where professionalism, ownership, and collaboration actually matter, apply today.
