About the job
The Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Inspector will take the lead in assessing the indoor environment of residential and commercial properties throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, conducting both visual assessments and air quality testing. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong customer care skills are qualities critical to success and advancement in this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assesses water damaged structures with a view toward providing a scope of work and estimate for mitigation and remediation solutions.
  • Performs comprehensive IAQ inspections intended to identify potential contaminants (mainly mold) in the indoor environment.
  • Processes samples and liaises with third party laboratories; interprets and explains lab results for clients and service technicians.
  • Generates written reports based on the inspection findings and lab results.
  • Interacts with clients to explain IAQ concepts, inspection procedures, industry protocols, and company points of differentiation.
  • Assists with mitigation and rmediation work on a time-available basis.
  • Follows proper safety practices, wears personal protective equipment as appropriate.
  • Maintains clean and organized vehicle, equipment, and job site.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR and access to dependable transportation.
  • Willing to submit to a background check
  • Able to safely lift up to 30 lbs., carry equipment up/downstairs.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal skills.
  • Professional manner and team oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience and/or professional certifications a plus but not required.
