QA/QC Specialist (Electrical ) Full Time Norcross, GA, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1157 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, electrical inspection, QA/QC, commissioning, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance / Quality Control Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific electrical QA/QC procedures and inspection processes. Review project drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract requirements to identify quality requirements. Perform routine and scheduled field inspections of electrical installations. Verify installations are consistent with approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and project standards.

Identify defective, incomplete, or non-conforming work and communicate corrective actions to the appropriate project personnel. Track deficiencies through resolution and verify corrective work has been completed. Assist in establishing project inspection and testing requirements. Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality control documentation. Conduct pre-installation and preparatory meetings when required. Participate in project quality meetings and coordination meetings.

Assist project teams in identifying potential quality issues before work is installed. Electrical Field Inspections Inspect electrical systems and installations including, but not limited to: Switchgear and switchboards Distribution equipment Transformers Panelboards Feeders and branch circuits Conduit systems Cable tray Grounding and bonding Lighting systems Emergency power systems Generators and ATS systems Fire alarm systems Low-voltage and structured cabling systems Equipment connections Electrical rooms and equipment spaces Verify proper installation, labeling, identification, routing, support, termination, torque, grounding, and workmanship.

Perform inspections at appropriate stages of construction to prevent concealed deficiencies. Coordinate and witness testing as required by the project specifications. Verify equipment installation and startup documentation where applicable. Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain accurate QA/QC inspection records. Prepare daily, weekly, and project-specific quality reports. Maintain deficiency/punch lists and corrective-action logs. Document inspections with photographs and supporting documentation.

Maintain inspection checklists and testing records. Assist with maintaining project turnover and closeout documentation. Review as-built documentation and verify field conditions are properly documented. Support preparation of final QA/QC turnover packages. Maintain organized records for owner, engineer, GC, and internal review. Code & Standards Compliance Verify electrical installations comply with applicable requirements, including: National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
