The ideal candidate has hands-on insulation experience, works efficiently on job sites, understands project specifications, and takes pride in clean, high-quality workmanship.


Job Description

  • This role focuses on the installation of insulation for HVAC ductwork, piping, hydronic systems, and related mechanical components.
  • The position includes work on commercial new-build construction projects.
  • The ideal candidate has hands-on insulation experience with duct and piping, including hydronics.
  • Experience with outdoor jacketing is required.
  • The ideal candidate works efficiently on job sites, follows project specifications, and takes pride in clean, high-quality workmanship.


Responsibilities

  • Install insulation on HVAC ductwork, piping, hydronic systems, and related mechanical components.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and secure insulation materials according to project plans and specifications.
  • Install vapor barriers, adhesives, bands, fasteners, sealants, and other insulation accessories as required.
  • Perform outdoor jacketing installation to protect insulated systems from weather exposure and damage.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and jobsite instructions.
  • Ensure insulation work is completed neatly, accurately, and in compliance with project requirements.
  • Repair or replace damaged insulation and jacketing as needed.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and other trades on-site.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Accurately complete job documentation and reports as required.


Requirements

  • 2-3 years of HVAC insulation experience required.
  • Insulation experience with duct and piping, including hydronic piping systems.
  • Experience with outdoor jacketing required.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and insulation-related equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work on commercial construction jobsites, including indoor and outdoor environments, rooftops, mechanical rooms, ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces.
