Job Title: Electrical Manager (TL)

Location: Montgomery, Alabama (On-Site)

Job Purpose

Reports to the Manager of Engineering – High Voltage Instrument Transformers and is responsible for the electrical and mechanical design coordination of transformer products. This position requires much interaction with the customer, quality, shop operators and customer service personnel. As a member of a team, develop designs of core type medium and large power transformers. In addition designs or modify enhancements to metering, relaying, core systems, and control systems, and resolve problems that may impact HPT and its member cooperatives and municipals. Ensure regulatory compliance requirements for systems are met and provide continuing technical support to other departments and HPT’s cooperative and municipal customers.

Regular Work

1) Customer Specificacion: Verify customer requirements related with electrical construction design.

2) Basic Calculation data: Review the basic calculation data.

3) Structure Design:


- Core & Conductor : Drawings related with conductor and core cutting,cooling duct,


calculation of copper quantity (number of drum,insulation).


- Core construction : Drawings related with insulation between core and clamp.


- Windings : Make all the drawings related with each winding and list of materials.


- Winding construction : Define winding and insulation arrangement base


on basic calculaition sheet.


- Pressing ring assembly : Drawings related with top and bottom ring assembly.


- Core & Coil assembly ; Make all the drawings related with each connection( TV,LV, HV,TAP


- Tank shield : Make drawings about tank shield,nbr and all the tank shield part

Rolling Work

- Ncr : Revise the NCR report and specify the corrective action.


- Vendors : Revise the NCR report and specify the corrective action.


- Upload drawing : Upload new and revision drawings using Intoras program.


- Training : Training and introduction to the HHI standard design method.


- HE-Feed back: Conference call / constant communication with HE design department


to clarify issues on current projects.


- Review drawings : Review the drawings of Electrical Team / Mechanical (clamp),


Lay out drawing


-Shop supervision : Solve issues in Production (drawings, material issues, inventory, etc)


- SAP : Follow up and PRs for materials.


- Check list : Perform check list drawing for electrical team.
