SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, training and work execution of I&E Technicians in an operating unit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Participates in the PACE culture of safety.
  • Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate
  • Provide attention to detail and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.
  • Ensure that the technicians are respected, supported, and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.
  • Supervise the activities, evaluate individual performance, and identify training needs of I&E Technicians so as to improve personal skills and meet the goals and objectives of the plant and division.
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule I&E maintenance activities to best obtain optimum utilization of manpower and resources to fill priority needs of the plant.
  • Analyze and control maintenance cost to minimize the cost of production.
  • Evaluate and assure accurate time cards, material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are being utilized.
  • Organize, plan and conduct safety meetings, audits and incident/accident investigations.
  • Develop, evaluate and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure ongoing integrity of equipment and to anticipate and prepare for future needs.
  • Ensure equipment and maintenance histories are maintained.
  • Responsible for the plant wide power system from 34.5 KV to 480 V Switchgear
  • Responsible for all HVAC system maintenance and chiller maintenance
  • Responsible for motor testing and motor management

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma is required, plus completion of an approved Instrument/Electrical course and a minimum of 5 years plant experience
  • Good working knowledge of equipment, materials, techniques, and safeguards in respective discipline for maintenance and construction of a continuous process chemical plant
  • Proven supervisory/administrative skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written is mandatory
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels of local management and to other departments to explain problems and proposed solutions
  • Ability to impact and influence, and to persuade others to a particular course of action

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working inside, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE and safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs. Travel may occasionally be required.
