Control Valve Assembler Needed ASAP

Stafford Area
$22–24/hour DOE
Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Control Valve Assembler to join a growing industrial manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing control valves, actuators, instrumentation, or other industrial flow control equipment. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, reading blueprints, and building precision equipment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, and test control valves, actuators, level gauges, and related flow control equipment
  • Perform air and hydrostatic testing to verify leak integrity, pressure settings, and product performance
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, assembly drawings, and technical specifications
  • Position, align, and fit mechanical components to engineering and customer requirements
  • Install tubing, fittings, bolts, fasteners, and other mechanical components
  • Perform grinding, deburring, sanding, and finishing of parts as needed
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components during assembly
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications
  • Complete production documentation and maintain accurate assembly records
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate control valve experience strongly preferred
  • Experience assembling control valves, actuators, instrumentation, regulators, safety relief valves, pumps, compressors, or rotating equipment preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, assembly drawings, and mechanical specifications
  • Experience performing pressure testing, leak testing, or hydrostatic testing is highly desirable
  • Control tube bending experience is a plus
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety
