Amentum Space Exploration Division is looking for a Cryogenics Instrumentation Technicianto support the design, installation, operation, and maintenance ofcryogenic instrumentation systems- equipment used to measure and control conditions in extremely cold environments, often involvingliquid helium, liquid nitrogen, or other cryogenic fluids. Job duties include:

• Experience installing thermocouples and cryo-diodes onto cryogen tanks for long term testing.
• Ability to work with multi-layered insulation.
• Ability to work with Data Acquisition Systems (DAS).
• Ability to occasionally work longer than 40 hours per week at times to meet testing milestones.
• 50-75% of this scope is working in labs and shops.
• The ability to work safely and comply with a rigid safety policy is paramount.
• A high mechanical aptitude is essential for this position.
• An understanding of electronics at an intermediate level is essential as a technician.
• Must be able to follow test procedures accurately and provide feedback to conditions that warrant change.
• Basic computer skills are essential for Office tools and MS OS.
• Reliable attendance is critical for this job.

Qualifications

Associates degree with 2+ years of experience or a technical degree with 4+ years of experience. 10-15 years of experience working test environments with specialty training required is strongly preferred. Must be a US Citizen and have a STAR ID.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
