Job description

A Civil Construction/Land Surveying Company is seeking an experienced Instrument Man to join their surveying team in Boca Raton, FL. Athe candidate will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and operating electronic survey equipment for accurate data collection and project execution. This role is would include boundary surveying, topographic surveys, and final construction layouts. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and able to handle a dynamic work environment that often includes overtime.
Responsibilities:
*Operate Surveying Instruments: Set up and operate a variety of electronic survey instruments, including total stations, GPS units, and laser scanners to perform various types of surveys.
*Gather field data and perform preliminary analysis to ensure accuracy of survey information.
*Work with field survey crews with equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting during surveying tasks.
*Ensure all surveying instruments and electronic equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning optimally for accurate data collection.
*Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, calibration logs, and any issues encountered during operations.
Requirements:
*Experience as an Instrument Man in Land Surveying/Civil Construction
*Valid DL Required (any state)
*Must be proficient with electronic survey equipment
*Experience with subsurface utility preferred
*Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
