This Role:
Calibration Technician in Engineering performs routine and non-routine instrument calibrations. This includes maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of equipment and instruments for processing and packaging equipment. This position reports to the Calibration Manager and is 100% onsite. This position is 3rd shift.
The responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate calibration support to manufacturing, packaging, quality, and other departments where current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) equipment and instruments are used
  • Set-up standards and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments - including researching instrument specification and calibration techniques for new equipment, as applicable
  • Adjusts/repirs instruments to meet calibration tolerance requirements
  • Participate in continuous improvement functions (lean initiatives), which increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality

Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma; Associate Degree (AA) preferred
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
  • May be required to work with pressurized equipment, hot surfaces
  • May be required to work in confined spaces
  • Position requires standing for long hours

Physical / safety requirements:
  • Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 55 pounds
