Founded in 1969, Summit Point Motorsports Park and Training Facility provides Commercial Motorsports events along with customized Security and Emergency Medical training solutions on our 786-acre facility located in Summit Point, WV. We are a recognized leader in the Motorsports and Security Training Solutions Markets for both commercial and government clients. We take pride in providing tailored solutions for clients in an ever-evolving world.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

Serve as a Medical Instructor and subject matter expert in Tactical Medicine and Advanced and Basic Life Support instruction for clients. All Instructors will create curriculum and utilize high fidelity simulations while also participating in required continuing education.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing established training objectives, lesson plans, training materials, and instructional methods prior to the beginning of assigned courses.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both clients & coworkers.
  • Maintain all required certifications.
  • Perform medical instruction/demonstration and student evaluations required by course syllabi and Plan of Instruction (POI).
  • Operate and maintain High Fidelity simulation manikins and laboratory.
  • Prepare classroom and laboratory for upcoming instruction including all academic equipment that would be needed.
  • Complete required paperwork for individual courses taught for licensing, billing, and filing.
  • Create and update curriculum to be offered to clients.
  • Provide technical support, planning, consultation, analysis and expert advice to establish, maintain, and improve instruction.
  • Assist with training new instructor candidates.
  • Performed related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Required:

  • 21 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent but Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Must have 5 + years of field operations experience, paramedic level preferred.
  • Must have 3 years of instructional experience.
  • Have the ability to occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for audiences of all levels.
  • Work independently or collaborative as needed.
  • Work in both internal and external environments with a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and hazards is routine and may require the use of protective personal equipment.
  • Basic computer and program knowledge to include PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Background Check.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Certifications:

  • WVOEMS Approved Lead Instructor
  • NAEMSE Level I&II Instructor Course or WVDE Instructor Methodology Course
  • NAEMT TCCC Instructor
  • NAEMT TECC Instructor

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Good physical conditioning and stamina required.
  • Able to regularly stand/walk for long periods of time without sitting, sprinting, kneeling on the ground, etc.
  • Able to withstand hot/cold weather.
