Job description

Position Overview (Contingent Upon Award)

The Emergency Management SME 2 is an experienced technical or program expert who provides evaluation, consultation, and guidance on strategic intent, process visioning, and operational performance issues. Works with minimal supervision and supports course review, instructor audit, and grant application review activities. This is a full-time Key Personnel position.

Job Functions

• Provide evaluation, consultation, guidance, or direction in specialized area(s) of expertise

• Consult with the project team, customers, and government officials regarding process, content, and deliverables

• Contribute content, identify best practices, and translate subject matter terminology as appropriate

• Provide recommendations verbally and in writing

• Work with minimal supervision while functioning in an oversight capacity for research projects, educational activities, evaluations of staff performance, and liaison activities with government agencies and partner organizations

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (an additional four years of experience may be substituted for the degree)

• Four (4) years of relevant experience in a related discipline

• Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction

• Good written and oral communication skills
