Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet New York State CNA curriculum requirements.
  • Teach classroom, laboratory, and hands-on patient care skills.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide coaching and feedback to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and certification records.
  • Prepare students to successfully complete certification requirements and begin rewarding healthcare careers.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure student success.
  • Incorporate current healthcare best practices and industry standards into instruction.
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students as they develop both technical and professional skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current New York State Registered NurseRequired (non-negotiable),
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a CNA, LPN,or RN in a related healthcare field.
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, or training others in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
