Description:

The Refrigeration Installer is responsible for installing commercial refrigeration systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. This position requires a strong understanding of refrigeration piping, electrical components, controls, and startup procedures while maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, condensing units, evaporators, compressors, and piping.
  • Install refrigeration piping using proper brazing techniques.
  • Pressure test, evacuate, charge, and commission systems.
  • Install electrical wiring and controls related to refrigeration equipment.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and piping schematics.
  • Verify proper system operation and complete startup checklists.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and documentation.
  • Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of commercial refrigeration installation experience preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems preferred.
  • Experience with CO2, HFC, and HFO refrigerants preferred.
