Job description

Position: Installation Assistant
Location: Seattle (Ballard Neighborhood)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am until the day’s project is completed (typically 2pm-6:30pm)
Pay: $23/hr.-$26/hr.

***This is a temporary position scheduled for the month of September.***

We’re hiring an Installation Associate! This person will be responsible for supporting our client’s lead installer(s) in the successful installation and service of fireplaces, stoves, fire pits, and BBQs in both rough-in and finish project stages. The right candidate will possess the ability to follow instructions, collaborate with others, and perform both efficiently and safely, with high regard to fit and finish.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist and support lead installer as directed in successful completion of projects that include moving, assembly, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Read and follow simple product manuals and schematics.
  • Provide a professional and courteous atmosphere for customers in their homes, protect customers’ property from damage while working.
  • Other installation, operations, warehouse facilities duties as assigned (moving pallets etc.).
 
Qualifications
  • Experience safely operating hand and power tools 
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, walk up and down steps repeatedly, kneel, bend, squat, and hold arms above head for extended periods of time
  • English verbal and written communication skills 
  • High attention to detail and care 
  • Experience with mechanical product installation (HVAC, gas fireplace, or similar products) into new construction rough in, remodel, and finished home stage projects a bonus
  • Experience with natural gas and/or propane gas appliances and installations a bonus
