Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs within commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. *Responsibilities* - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. - Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including wiring, circuit installation, and troubleshooting. - Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. - Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. - Perform low voltage and high voltage installations as required. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. - Provide guidance and support to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed. *Experience* - Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the commercial sector. - Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work. - Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus, enhancing your ability to work alongside other trades on site. - Experience working with both low voltage and high voltage systems is preferred. - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other relevant equipment is essential. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
