Border Sheet Metal and Heating - HVAC Lead Installer (Journeyman) - Hayden, Idaho

We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch service and innovative solutions to ensure our customers' comfort and satisfaction. We’re looking for a dedicated full-time HVAC Residential NC Apprentice Installer to join our team and help us continue to deliver exceptional HVAC services to Hayden and surrounding areas.

Position: Lead Installer

Location: Hayden, ID

Shift: Monday – Friday - 7:00am to 5:00pm (could vary based upon business needs)

Position Type: Full-time (40+ hours a week)

The Lead Installer (HVAC Journeyman) will install HVAC equipment into residential customer homes along with commercial retro fits and commercial new construction.  This includes equipment such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and other related components.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Install HVAC equipment into residential customer homes
  • Install roof top packages for commercial buildings
  • Troubleshoot equipment installation, start-up, operation and other issues
  • Install sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings
  • Ensure functionality of thermostats to control HVAC system is operational
  • Load all necessary materials and equipment required for each job into company vehicle
  • Follow all safety and training per company policy and procedure
  • Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained and in operating order
  • Participate and attend all required employee meetings and training courses
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of HVAC experience
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Must have a valid EPA certification
  • Ability to measure ductwork, fabricate ductwork, install all equipment and accessories
  • Test and braze line sets, evacuate and charge systems
  • Ability to complete simple low and high voltage connections on furnaces, air handlers and air conditioners
  • Must be able to lift 100lbs
  • Comfortable working from ladders, and in tight spaces
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable working outdoor in the elements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • **Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record
