About This Role

We are seeking a few talented Plumbing Apprentice Technician's to join our team. This full-time position involves learning to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial Plumbing systems.

Position Summary:

Learns plumber duties in the construction, installation, alteration, remodeling or removal and replacement of plumbing; and performs other duties as required. Install plumbing systems and all other related components correctly and in a timely manner, while also helping facilitate customer satisfaction and workplace safety. All Plumbers are expected to work under close supervision within a team-oriented environment and with a minimal amount of creative design, depending on work experience and proven competencies.

License/Certification:

Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures, domestic water and drainage systems according to plumbing codes.
  • Inspect structures to locate and mark positions for pipes and connections.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment for plumbing tasks.
  • Perform tests to locate leaks and other plumbing issues using water or air and reading gauges.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe fittings.
  • Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and both metal and nonmetal pipes.
  • Install plumbing fixtures, including toilets, drains, and water heaters.
  • Model and promote excellent customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Work collaboratively with contractors and other tradesmen.
  • Maintain inventories of tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring optimal material consumption.
  • Ensure plumbing systems are safe and running efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and comply with statutory regulations and plumbing codes.

What You'll Bring :

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or Technical Diploma in plumbing with 4 years of experience is preferred
  • Commercial plumbing is highly desired.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or trade school in plumbing.
  • Good working knowledge of plumbing specifications and Kentucky plumbing codes.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
