Installation Structured Cabling Jobs in Stockton, CA

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Cable Technician in Stockton, CA. This position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of low-voltage network infrastructure within a large-scale new construction distribution center. The ideal candidate will have significant experience hanging Wireless Access Points (WAPs), running cable, and operating aerial lifts in an industrial environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22 to $32 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cabling including CAT 5/6 within a new construction environment.
• Mount and install Wireless Access Points (WAPs) throughout the distribution center.
• Operate aerial lifts to perform installations and cabling tasks at heights.
• Install support structures such as cable trays, conduit, and J-hooks for efficient routing.
• Perform terminations, testing, and troubleshooting of network cabling and hardware.
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and project-specific requirements.
• Label cables and hardware according to universal communications color codes and project standards.
• Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure project milestones are met safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in structured cabling and telecommunications installation.
• Proven track record of working on large-scale new construction industrial projects.
• Direct experience hanging and mounting Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
• Proficiency in operating scissor lifts and working comfortably at significant heights.
• Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.
• Possession of necessary hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work the duration of the contract through the end of the calendar year.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work at heights from a ladder or aerial lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for the duration of a shift in a construction environment.
• Ability to see and distinguish different colors for cable identification.
• Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces as needed.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for construction sites.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $22 to $32 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
