What you’ll do
  • Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cabling.
  • Handle fiber optics from end to end—fusion splicing and performance testing included.
  • Install pathway and support systems: cable tray, ladder rack, backboards, sleeves, and J-hooks.
  • Execute compliant firestopping wherever required by code.
  • Install and splice high-pair copper backbone cable.
  • Test and certify structured cabling systems using Fluke DSX-8600 testers and OTDR equipment.
  • Interpret drawings/specifications and translate them into clean, dependable installations.
  • Document work and maintain accurate test reports.
  • Perform site surveys to plan efficient cable routes.
  • Maintain tidy, secure, and organized job sites.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, customers, and other trades.
What you’ll bring
  • 3+ years in commercial low-voltage installation.
  • Experience with structured cabling and fiber optic systems.
  • Blueprint/construction drawing literacy.
  • Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Fluke certification equipment.
  • BICSI or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs; comfortable on ladders and lifts.
