Job description

OverviewHVAC Install Manager

Location: Southlake, TX | DFW MetroplexPosition: Full-Time | Leadership

Lead the Team Behind Exceptional HVAC Installations

Berkeys Plumbing, A/C & Electrical is looking for an experienced HVAC Install Manager to lead our residential HVAC Installation operations.

This isn't a desk-only management position. We're looking for a leader who knows residential HVAC, understands what it takes to run successful installation crews, and knows how to develop people while driving quality and performance.

You'll lead our HVAC Install, Warranty, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) teams and take ownership of the day-to-day operation-from staffing and scheduling to installation quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and department performance.

If you've grown your career in residential HVAC and are ready to lead a high-performing operation with an established DFW home-services company, we want to talk to you.

We're Looking for an HVAC Leader - Not Just a Manager

The right person understands the realities of residential HVAC because you've been there yourself.

You know what a properly completed installation should look like. You understand airflow, refrigerant systems, electrical components, controls, startup and commissioning-and you're capable of coaching a team to consistently meet those standards.

Just as importantly, you know how to lead people. You can set expectations, coach performance, recognize great work, have difficult conversations when necessary, and build a team that takes pride in what they do.

This Role Is for You If...

You're the leader who walks onto a jobsite and knows what good looks like.

You enjoy developing technicians and installers-not just managing schedules.

You understand that quality, productivity, profitability, safety, and customer experience all matter.

You're comfortable using KPIs and operational data to make decisions, but you're equally comfortable getting into the field and figuring out what's actually happening.

And you're looking for an opportunity where you can have a meaningful impact on an established residential HVAC operation.

Why Berkeys?

Since 1975, Berkeys Plumbing, A/C & Electrical has served homeowners throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and built a reputation around quality, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

As our HVAC Install Manager, you'll have the opportunity to lead an important part of our operation, develop the next generation of HVAC professionals, and directly influence the quality and performance of our Installation department.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to continue growing your career within a large and established home-services organization.

Ready to Lead?

If you're an experienced residential HVAC professional with proven leadership experience who's ready to take ownership of a team and operation, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your HVAC leadership career with Berkeys.

ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Own

As our HVAC Install Manager, you'll be responsible for leading both the people and performance of the department.

  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable HVAC Install Leads, Install Helpers, Warranty and IAQ team members.
  • Oversee daily installation operations, crew assignments, workload, scheduling, and department capacity.
  • Ensure residential HVAC installations are completed safely, correctly, efficiently, and on time.
  • Provide technical and operational support to crews when challenges arise in the field.
  • Drive installation quality through jobsite visits, quality inspections, commissioning standards, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Oversee Warranty and IAQ operations, including component replacements, duct cleaning, filtration, UV lights, air purification, and other IAQ solutions.
  • Monitor department KPIs including revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, productivity, callbacks, warranty rates, inspection results, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Sales, Dispatch, Warehouse, Permitting, Purchasing, Fleet, Customer Service, and Quality Control to keep jobs moving successfully.
  • Resolve escalated customer and field concerns while protecting the customer experience and company standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop HVAC talent while building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Qualifications What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC experience in installation, service, maintenance, repair, or a related technical capacity.
  • Previous experience leading HVAC technicians, installers, field employees, or residential installation operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong residential HVAC installation and technical knowledge.
  • Experience with installation quality, commissioning, airflow, refrigerant procedures, job costing, and customer resolution.
  • Experience managing Warranty, IAQ, Install Leads, Helpers, or subcontractors is highly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and manage KPIs, labor, materials, productivity, and department performance.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • EPA Universal Certification strongly preferred.
  • TDLR ACR Technician registration preferred.
  • ServiceTitan experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
