Job description

Renda Electric is looking for an experienced Residential Electrician with the ability to lead a variety of small and large projects. We are growing with current and new customers. We have a full-time estimator building our portfolio.
We have a good team of apprentices at different stages in their apprenticeship to help support our lead Journeyman on their projects.
Must have an Iowa Residential Electrician License and the skills to perform the responsibilities of a Residential Electrician
Key Responsibilities
  • Install new-construction custom home electrical systems.
  • Communicate directly and professionally with Contractors and Homeowners.
  • Use all forms of communication to obtain and relay information, and to ensure proper and accurate installs.
  • Read and interpret residential electrical plans, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Install, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of residential electrical systems efficiently and safely.
  • Manage time and material for maximum efficiency and production.
  • Work alongside and train apprentice electricians.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship to produce a high-quality finished product.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC, state, and local residential electrical codes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience with custom homes
  • Experience mentoring and training apprentices.
  • Familiarity with residential smart home wiring.

Skills amp; Abilities
  • Ability to manage daily job tasks as assigned with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lead and delegate tasks to apprentices and other electricians.
  • Ability to navigate NEC and be self-sufficient.
  • Strong residential troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in residential wiring methods and best practices.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to organizational information in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to perform all duties.
