Job description

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City, a proud part of DH Pace Company, Inc., is excited to welcome a new Install Department Manager to our Entry Door Division at our Olathe, Kansas office! We offer a wide variety of doors, and we take pride in our ability to sell, service, and install every type you can think of! Our managers are not just skilled; they're passionate about scheduling, dispatching, project management, and keeping labor costs in check.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the install department.
  • Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet our daily customer commitments and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Evaluate workload and manpower to fulfill customer commitments in a cost-effective way.
  • Make sure projects are completed on time, under budget, and to our customers' satisfaction.
  • Review monthly financial and operational reports, collaborating with front-line managers to create action plans for improvement.
  • Enhance the performance of the field team you manage through regular performance reviews.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing our new team members.
  • Take on other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of management experience is preferred; ideally, you'll have supervisory or managerial experience in a company that services or installs new equipment/products.
  • You should be capable of managing and developing skilled field technicians/installers and office staff, all working together to provide exceptional service while minimizing labor costs and maximizing profits.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a good mechanical aptitude are a must!
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
