Job description

Install Technician

About Us

Central Door Solutions is a full service overhead door and material handling company that has been serving Wisconsin since 2004. We handle residential and commercial work out of our Plover and New Berlin locations, from single family garage doors to rolling doors, high speed doors, fire doors, hangar doors, and loading dock equipment. We are an Elite Clopay Dealer and an IDA Top 100 door dealer.

What You'll Do

  • Install residential and commercial garage doors, rolling steel doors, and gate operators
  • Install and adjust openers, springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and hardware in the field
  • Remove and haul away existing doors, prep the opening, and confirm measurements before install
  • Complete installations independently, including reading the work order, setting the door to spec, and walking the customer through operation
  • Keep your truck stocked, your paperwork accurate, and your job site clean
  • Participate in the after hours on call rotation for emergency service

What You Need

  • 2+ years of hands on experience with garage doors, overhead doors, dock equipment, or related mechanical field service. We will train the right candidate with a strong mechanical background.
  • Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be insurable under our commercial auto policy.
  • Ability to read work orders and communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, and facility contacts
  • Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen

Nice to Have

  • Experience with high speed doors, rolling steel, or gate operators
  • Clopay product experience
  • Construction experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • Electrical experience

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
  • Work from ladders and lifts, in crawl spaces, and at heights
  • Work outdoors in Wisconsin weather year round
  • Kneel, bend, reach overhead, and stand for extended periods
